2nd Press Release – BADGE Project International Conference & Closure

KMOP would like to announce the completion of the activities of the 24-month Project “BADGE: Busi-ness Advice and Guidance training for women Entrepreneurs”. The overall aim of BADGE was to em-power women facing double disadvantage (i.e. apart from being a woman, other difficulties such as being single parents, over 45, migrants or member of ethnic minorities etc.) to develop entrepreneur-ial activity through the development of soft skills, such as self-reflection, communication, leadership, etc.

BADGE Project International Conference

It is with great pleasure that we announce the International Conference titled: “Business Advice and Guidance training for women Entrepreneurs”, which will be held in Athens, Greece, on the 30th of September, 2015, at the President Hotel, “Cosmos” Room.

The conference is organised as an international dissemination event in the framework of project “BADGE: Business Advice and Guidance training for women Entrepreneurs”. The project is implemented by an international consortium of partners: Family and Childcare Centre – KMOP (Greece), Danmar Computers (Poland), Inova Consultancy Ltd (UK), EXUS S.A. (Greece), Centre for the Advancement of Research and Development in Educational Technology - CARDET (Cyprus), Association Business Information and Consulting Centre - Sandanski (Bulgaria), National Council of Private Small and Medium Enterprises in Romania - Arad Branch (Romania), Social Innovation Fund (Lithuania).

The conference will feature presentations regarding the achievements of the project by the project’s partners, Greek and international speakers that will speak about the conditions and difficulties faced by disadvantaged women in Europe and Greece, especially in the context of the economic crisis, as well presentations on best practices and case studies of successful women entrepreneurs. The conference proceedings start at 10:00. Participation is free of charge and everyone is welcome to attend. There will also be interpretation available from English to Greek and vice-versa. 2nd Pilot Phase of the Diversity in Business Workshops (Greece)

The second cycle of thematic workshops that took place in Greece during the first week of May in the framework of the European Project: “BADGE: Business Advice and Guidance training for women Entrepreneurs”. The thematic workshops aimed at developing the soft skills of women belonging to vulnerable social groups so that the beneficiaries would be empowered in their pursuit of establishing entrepreneurial activity. The workshops were organised by the Family and Child Care Centre (KMOP), a Greek NGO, and were conducted in KMOP’s facilities in Piraeus.
